Our Gym

Here at WarTime Fitness we are redefining exercise as an activity that unites your mind and body. Our trainers focus on reducing your stress levels as well as delivering the strength, confidence and fitness that everyone deserves for themselves.

Founded locally and run by locals, this gym is definitely not your typical gym. Each workout is a journey. Our owner, George Rivera, has crafted a unique mind/body workout regimen that integrates the world’s best physical conditioning format – boxing.

Our training program is 10 step process that promotes muscle building, weight loss, and overall body and mind conditioning. Completing our 10 step program will transform you both mentally and physically.

WarTime Fitness 10 Step Program

1) Novice

This is the start to your 10 step journey. You will perform the Novice workout for 2 weeks until moving on to Open Class. All workouts performed at the Novice Level will be done for 1 minute with 30 second rests in between each round. 2 rounds per workout. The workout will include a series of stretches and exercises designed to condition you for the next level.

Before starting Level 1, we will record weight and take photos to look back on after each 30 days throughout the program to keep the trainee focused on the task at hand.

2) Open Class

In the Open Class, you will perform the workouts for 1 week until moving on to State. All workouts performed at the Open Class Level will be done for 1 minute and 30 seconds with 30 second rests in between each round. 2 rounds per workout.

3) State

In State, you will perform the workouts for 1 week until moving on to Regional. All workouts performed at the State Level will be done for 1 minute and 30 seconds with 30 second rests in between each round. 2 rounds per workout.

4) Regional

In the Regional, you will perform the workouts for 1 week until moving on to National. All workouts performed at the Regional Level will be done for 1 minute and 30 seconds with 30 second rests in between each round. 2 rounds per workout.

5) National

In the National, you will perform the workouts for 1 week until moving on to Olympics.

All workouts performed at the National Level will be done for 2 minutes with 30 second rests in between each round. 2 rounds per workout.

To complete this level, there will be a Virtual Fight you have to complete which will be displayed on a projector screen.

WarTime Fitness 10 Step Program

6) Olympics

In the Olympics, you will perform the workouts for 1 week until moving on to Pro Debut. All workouts performed at the National Level will be done for 2 minutes and 30 seconds with 30 second rests in between each round. 2 rounds per workout.

To complete this level, there will be a Virtual Fight you have to complete which will be displayed on a projector screen.

7) Pro Debut

In the Pro Debut, you will perform the workouts for 1 week until moving on to Prospect. All workouts performed at the Pro Debut Level will be done for 2 minutes and 30 seconds with 30 second rests in between each round. 2 rounds per workout.

To complete this level, there will be a Virtual Fight you have to complete which will be displayed on a projector screen

8) Prospect

In the Prospect, you will perform the workouts for 1 week until moving on to Contender. All workouts performed at the Prospect Level will be done for 2 minutes and 30 seconds with 30 second rests in between each round. 2 rounds per workout.

To complete this level, there will be a Virtual Fight you have to complete which will be displayed on a projector screen.

9) Contender

In the Contender, you will perform the workouts for 1 week until moving on to World Champion. All workouts performed at the Contender Level will be done for 3 minutes with 30 second rests in between each round. 2 rounds per workout.

To complete this level, there will be a Virtual Fight you have to complete which will be displayed on a projector screen.

10) World Champion

In the World Champion, you will perform the workouts for 1 week until you complete your weight goal and become a World Champion. All workouts performed at the Contender Level will be done for 3 minutes with 30 second rests in between each round. 2 rounds per workout.

To complete this level, there will be a Virtual Fight you have to complete which will be displayed on a projector screen.

George Rivera is a former professional boxer and founder of WarTime Fitness.  He works closely with his clients to knock down their doubts and build their confidence through his fitness program – A 10-step format to transform his clients both mentally and physically.

George created Wartime Fitness in memory of his sister, Danielle Johnson, who was killed in a car accident a few years ago. Inside the gym, he keeps photos of his sister to honor her memory and motivating spirit to inspire others to accomplish their goals.

The pride of Troy, Virginia,  southpaw Jared Jason Wells’ amateur record   (84-1-1, 25 KOs) took the long road to boxing stardom. A standout amateur, Jared is on the forefront of his professional career as the most dominant force in the welterweight division. Standing as the most dominant force in the welterweight division. Standing at 6’1 and weighing a solid 147 pure muscle, his opponents stand no chance against his size, reach and mental toughness.

Maximus has plans to become the commonwealth divisional Champion by next year.
